I've read about new Panasonic MicroP2 storage cards. Is it true that we are going to have to wait another year for it to come out?

Release of Panasonic MicroP2 card

Panasonic is a company that everytime want to serve the technological market with its high-speed, lower-cost media gadgets. Recently it has made an announced for NAB 2012, that they are bringing new microP2 card.

Actually it's a new series of memory card from Panasonic. IT is an SD card form factor in further cost-efficiencies in media pricing. It has revealed that the new series of 64 GB and 32 GB microP2 cards will operate in current P2 hardware.

Panasonic showed a companion adaptor that could be used with the new micro-sized cards. That makes the gadgets compatible with existing PCMCIA-based hardware. Probably this new microP2 come to market in the spring 2013 or it will be take much more time.
