Red pocket Mobile App for Google

Hello Ms. Ashley. Bila, You will have to manually download Red Pocket for ice cream sandwich only because Google does not allow 3 party apps from producing APN settings modifications with this version from Android, but you can follow the manual configuration instructions to do so.

Red Pocket states it will have an updated version of Red Pocket fro Android app as soon as a workaround or a solution come available from Google. Here is a link to do.

Hope this helps out.

Since Red Pocket Configurator doesn’t work on any Ice Cream Sandwich Android Smartphones, here is a solution on how to do the trick of making the application to still work on ICS Smartphones.

You need to do a lot of editing on your Android Smartphone to make Red Pocket Configurator work.

For the Data and MMS settings:

  • Name – Red Pocket Mobile
  • APN – att.mvno
  • Proxy – [URL applicable only on mobile handset]
  • Port – 80
  • Username
  • Password
  • Server –
  • MMSC – [URL applicable only on mobile handset]
  • MMS Proxy – [URL applicable only on mobile handset]
  • MMS Port – 80
  • MMS Protocol
  • MCC – 310
  • MNC – 410
  • Authentication type – not set
  • APN type – default,supl,mms
  • Bearer – unspecified

You should also check and make sure that the Use Packet Data option is checked under Mobile Networks, and Data Roaming should be disabled or unchecked.

For Samsung Smartphone users:

  • Access Wireless and Networks Settings then select Mobile Networks.
  • Next, access Access Point Names then press on the soft key and then select Add New APN.
  • Enter the appropriate values for your phone in their respective fields.
