Hello Gurus!

I was updating my Windows 7 when this error message popped up (see below).

I have searched the web but found no answers and a bit confused since I was simply updating.

I am a bit scared also since I may not be able to update my Windows anymore.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Elona,

Here’s one way that could help you solve the problem. It has worked for many and hopefully this would help you.

Click Start Type appwiz.cpl on the Search programs and files and then hit Enter. Another way would be to simply Click Control Panel.

Under Programs, click Uninstall a Program.
Look for all Windows Live programs or any that has the word “windows live” in it, uninstall each. Click Yes if asked to confirm.

**Remove all except Windows Live OneCare
RESTART your computer.

Go to this link and download the Windows Live Essentials.

Save the file on your desktop or any location where you can easily find it.
Run the saved file. If prompted to confirm just click Run.
Accept the Terms and then installation will start.
After the successful installation you may delete the WLSetup.exe file.

Hope this helps. 🙂

Hi,

First thing you must do is you just simply go to the start menu just click on that and then simply click the search programs or files and then just simply copy and paste the this code from the system :" regsvr32 MSXML3.dll "and then after that you just click the Ok to continue and then there is an dialog box pop up that the operation has succeeded and then after if this work at all just simply try to clear your DNS cache just simply go to the start menu just click then go to RUN or search programs then just simply type this code: "cmd.exe" and then type another code:"ipconfig /flushdns" after that you can see a message that the cache has been cleared just try that one.
