Getting an error message with Rainmeter application.Â
I have installed Rainmeter on my Windows 7 Home Edition machine. I tried clicking on a few zipped files in deviant art, and when I try to open these files I receive this error message.
The Rainmeter.ini file is not writable. This means that the application will not be able to save any settings permanently. Make sure that the settings file is not set as read-only and it is located in a folder where you have write permission.
The settings file is located at:
C:UsersTixyDocumentsRainmeterskinsvClouds_Weather_2_by_VCIouds.rmskinRainmeter.ini
I thought it could be just my user account which is having issues, and I tried logging in as an administrator and tried running Rainmeter and it comes up with the same error message. Suggestions?

Rainmeter application error message while opening it in Windows
Hi good day,
My only suggestion is to again install the application of  Rainmeter, to repair some error files. When you install the Rainmeter read the procedures carefully > then if you see there is a Repair option, click on it > click next > and wait until you finish the installation of  Rainmeter.

If this procedure does not work, go to > click start menu Control Panel > find Add and Remove Program > click Rainmeter icon, then click Remove > restart computer > After that make a new installation of  Rainmeter, then again read carefully the procedure of installation.
Note: Make sure the version of  Rainmeter is compatible with Windows 7.
Thank you.

Rainmeter application error message while opening it in Windows
Hi Robert,
Â
Based on your error this is caused by an incomplete download / corrupted files , the best way to fix this is to uninstall the program and then reinstall it again, you can get the
program from here and make sure you download the 3.0.2 Final Release and not the Beta release
Â
This should fix your issue, Good Luck!
