I use quicktime to play some of my videos but just this morning when I tried to open it, it is throwing up this error, I didn’t do any changes in it's settings and it is working properly the other day, help anyone?

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.

Hello Aron,
To resolve that issue, try using the following workarounds:
Method 1:

On your computer, go to your C:Program FilesQuickTime folder,

After that you will need to double-click on the QuickTimePlayer.exe file.

See if you get an error message then.

In case you do, you will need to check if it is the same error you are getting when you launch from the Start menu.
Method 2:
-
You will need to try and uninstall the current version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable you have on your computer.

After that you should download and then install the 2008 version which you can get from the following Focus support website: http://support.focus-home.fr/vcredist_x86.exe
