Technically, you don’t have to remove the embedded codes of your HP printer to allow scalability. Leaving it there just makes it the default printer of your computer.
Now if you want scalability, just install another printer. However, take note that your HP printer is your default printer meaning it is the printer that will print once you print a file. To allow scalability, when you are to print, click the printing options then click on the tab of HP printer.
A subtab will appear and click on the other printer. If ever you want to change your default printer, go to Control Panel then click on the Printer and Faxes button. From there, click on the other printer and choose make default printer.
