Hello Everyone,

I am having a problem in using Blackberry Desktop Software, an error pops up as it syncs with the calendar Error Encountered. Error Code 0x80043ac9. Check documentation. ” I am using 9800 torch and I connect it with wire/cable sync and using latest version of Blackberry software.

I tried to find out the said documentation in error but haven’t got any. I have removed all my contacts, restore backup, delete them from device and restored. The same procedure I did with Calendar but still it doesn’t work. Due to this I stop calendar from syncing and it works good but is no longer syncing. Can someone help me fixing this error? Your help would be highly appreciated.

Thank you in Advance.

Hello,

Some Blackberry users have found this solution helpful. Though, I have not tried or tested them, I hope this might work for you. Please, update us after you try it. I found this from Blackberry’s support center.

  • Back up your address book in your computer. You should have an .ipd file.
  • Delete the address book from your phone.
  • Restore your address book from your pc.
  • Synchronize all the contacts from outlook.

If you still receive any error, please paste the screenshot here. Follow the same procedure for your calendar as well. Please let us know how it goes. If it works, great! Cheers mate.

If you are synchronizing your BlackBerry Smartphone with your computer when this happened, try to uninstall and reinstall the BlackBerry Desktop Software. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select your BlackBerry Desktop Software among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process.

When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then download the BlackBerry Desktop Software. The BlackBerry software is in two versions: the BlackBerry Desktop Software and the BlackBerry Link.

If you have a BlackBerry Smartphone that runs on BlackBerry 7.1 OS or earlier, you need to download the BlackBerry Desktop Software. It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Windows 8.x and Windows 10 are not supported. For Mac users, you can download the BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac.

If your BlackBerry Smartphone runs on BlackBerry 10 OS, you need to download the BlackBerry Link. It supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.x. Windows 10 is not supported. It requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 so make sure to install it first before installing BlackBerry Link.
