Check your hardware especially the hard disk drive. Your hard disk drive might be detected but the computer during the boot-up process could not read your boot-up system. On the other hand, if the first device listed in the BIOS is USB, the system will check for a connected USB device.

When a USB device is found, it will try to boot that device whether it has an operating system or not.
