Hi,

Looks like you are missing the audio device drivers. There is an easy solution when you got a problem with any drivers. This solution is a software called My-Config.com that can be used to identify and generate a report of the hardware including the missing drivers and also the out of date ones.

My-Config.com

For that you have to download this software, installed then run a hardware scan. Then it will provide a link to download the drivers.

Hi Dear,

First of all you must install Windows XP Service Pack 3, and then Windows Update if you have original, if you have not original windows so no problem, I hope your problem solve after installation of Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Wish you good luck.

Without this driver, you can't listen any audio. In the motherboard disk, a sound driver called Realtek High Definition Audio Driver is given. It is a sound driver. Though you can't find audio driver in Windows XP, you can use this driver. You can also download it from its website:

Realtek Site

Then you will be able to enjoy smooth audio easily.

Hi Adamswhitley,

Click on Start button > Settings > Control Panel > System > select tab Hardware > click Device Manager button > right-click on your audio device > Properties > select tab Driver > click on the Update Driver button.

Choose “Browse my computer for driver software”, if there is any driver on your computer, then select the path for searching.

Choose “Select automatically for update driver software”, if not.

Wait for the result and choose one fit to your device.

Hope this helps.

If you cannot hear any sounds from your computer, try checking on the sound card and the cables if it's properly connected. Ensure that the volume is also not muted. To check the sound card, just click on Start and then go to Control Panel.

Click System and Security and click the Device Manager under the System menu. Double – click on the Sound, Video and Game Controllers to expand it.

And then check if the sound card driver is installed. If not, go to your sound card manufacturer's website and download the correct driver. If you know that the driver is installed but it is not showing, go to Other devices and expand it. Check if the sound card is listed there.

If you see a yellow question mark beside the sound card, then you have a problem.

Right-click on your Sound card and then click Properties.

Under the General tab, look for the Device Status box to determine the issue on your sound card. If you found any problem, you will need a driver for it.

Try clicking on Update Drivers and see if it works.
