Problem in launching Google Chrome.

Hello, I am using Ms Windows XP Sp2 and whenever I try to launch Google Chrome in my PC, I get the following error message: “Proxy Detection Failed: PAC script error. HTTP Download failed. Connection failure”. Have any of you experienced this problem? Any suggestions please! Thank you in advance.

Problem in launching Google Chrome.

 

Does this happen only in Chrome browser? Does your Internet Explorer (IE) work fine?

 

If the problem is only in Chrome, you need to check the proxy setting in the browser. How to access proxy settings in Chrome is as follows.

1. Go to the setting at Chrome (Top right side ) as shown in the picture below
2. Go to show advanced setting  (at the bottom)
3. Then go to Proxy Settings
4. Then go to Connection tab and settings

if you need to have proxy to access Internet, check if the proxy settings are correct. Otherwise remove the proxy settings there.
