1. Check for the available space on the hard-disk.
2. If there exist Microsoft Shared Computer toolkit or Remote Desktop connection the Windows XP SP3 cannot be installed.
3. Ensure the support of the wireless or wired network adapter.
4. Disable the antivirus.
5. Take a backup of files to some external locations.
6. Create an ASR for the Windows XP.
7. Check the version of the Internet Explorer.
