How to make AOL my default mail

Hi Experts,

I am using an Acer laptop that is operating on Windows Vista. I have installed AOL as my email. My mistake is that on the start up of the program, I forgot to choose AOL as my default email.

Now, I am having a problem locating the AOL email in the programs drop down. I know there should be some way for me to make it my default even though I was not able to choose that option the first time. I searched in my Internet Explorer 7, but too many search results to choose from.

Please help me make AOL my default email. Thanks.

Hello,

Close AOL and all Internet applications, that you have opened on your computer.  On the windows, click the start menu button ; go to setting ; then simply click the Control Panel.  Choose the Internet Options ;  double-click the icon. After that you need to go to the Internet properties of the window;  click the programs Tab ; then the Internet Programs area.  Simply change the default from the Web pages, e-mail, newsgroups, and application for the Web Page.

Click the Apply option, then click ok. If not, just simply try to go to the default programs.  To go there, go to the start menu, you can see the default programs ; just click and then set your default programs.
