Over Clocking not working on my PC

Hi there,

I have a Dell Inspiron 660s  Desktop which I want to over clock to increase it's performance on games, I have downloaded an application (Ai Suite), but still my CPU clocking have not changed a bit,  How do I Over clock my CPU(without ruining the Mobo)? what are the possible consequences of over clocking on my processors?

Over Clocking not working on my PC

Hi !

If you want to overclock your PC you can do it from BIOS. Is not a recommended solution to increase your PC performance. After you have overclocked you PC you have to change the CPU Fan with better one. The risk of loosing data will be higher and make your system more unstable, and in a final you'll have a broken CPU. You also have to know that the CPU's are designed to run to a temperature till 80°C after it will shut down automatically. The CPU must at the same frequency as the RAM is.
