Outlook 2007 error occurred on Windows 8

I installed Office 2007 on Windows 8 but when I start Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, I receive the following error message. This happens only to outlook as other programs are okay.

Any suggestions?

Outlook 2007 error occurred on Windows 8

MS Office 2007 is one of the latest and best versions of MS Office suit. This should not have given this error.

It is saying that an add-in could not be loaded. This is possible if the extension is not compatible with the version of Outlook or did not install successfully.

You can disable the add-in that is named “F-PROT Antivirus E-mail plug-in” that will help you rid of this problem.

Go to “Tools” >> “Trust Center” >> “Add-ins” and you have got landed on the add-in control panel. Simply disable the nasty one.

Outlook 2007 error occurred on Windows 8

You are receiving the error you stated when you removed the F-PROT Antivirus. After the removal, the add-in in the Microsoft Outlook Add-In Manager remains. To fix this, you need to remove the entire F-ROT entry in the Add-In Manager.

1. Launch Microsoft Outlook.

2. Click on Tools and then Trust Center and go to Add-Ins.

3. Under the Manage option, choose Exchange Client Extensions and then click Go.

4. Under the Add-in Manager window, untick the F-PROT Antivirus E-mail plug-in and then click OK.
