Oracle 10g express not working in Ubuntu

After downloading Oracle 10g Express Edition for Linux (Ubuntu) I installed it in my Ubuntu 10.10 OS running computer successfully , but after installation I cannot open the “Database Home Page” but I installed the same version of this software of windows in windows in the same computer and now it is working nicely.

 

Now I want to know how to solve this problem of Oracle 10g express Edition of Ubuntu10.10

Please check you Swap space. This type of Problems come when loading a program require more space but you have not enough space to completely load this program. Check Oracle requirements for NFS and match them with you system available specific categories.

Second thing is that Error message  "ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist ". Than you must check your "bc" command issues and properly configure them. So when you properly installed "bc" and "oracle-xe-universal" try again to start this I think your problem will be finish. . I have got this error many time and also many users face this after installing.
