Open a url but I can’t open it with Android

Hello techyv.com!

I have here a Windows 7 laptop and a Samsung Android tablet. Now I've open my facebook account at the laptop use it and chatting with friends. Now I remember that I have photos that needs to be uploaded from my Android into Facebook. Now I was like, Oh my God! I can't open the facebook url in my android, but I'm sure that I have a wifi connection because I can open other sites from my android. May ask if there is a checker in android to check url availability?

Hello Susan A Gettus,

First, check that your Android phone has the proper internet connection.

You can check it by going to another website. If it works, you have an active internet connection.

Now, download the Facebook app here. Install it on your Android, and login to your Facebook account.

Now, you can upload the photos that you want, and it will work.

Now, you can enjoy it.

Hello Susan, 

There should be no problem, you should be able to connect to Facebook if you can connect to other websites. One reason might be that the router in which you have connected via WIFI has Facebook restricted. You may also try the Facebook Android APP specifically designed for tablets, here it is.

Additionally here are 3 better ways to use Facebook on android tablets.

To edit router settings:

1. Go to your router's IP address, it usually is 192.168.1.1 (You may contact your router's support site to confirm)
2. Under access policy or parental controls remove www.facebook.com from the restricted site's list
3. Save your settings
