Hello everyone,

I’m having trouble with the NOD32 Antivirus System v. 2.7. When I try to start up the program an error message pops-out:

An error occured during N0D32 initialization

WINDOWS NT ver. 4 or higher is required to run this application.

I’m using Windows Vista OS and it’s supposed to be enough for the program to work, but it’s still annoying me.

If someone has already had this problem please post suggestions.

Thanks.

Hi Lewis Kent,

You have said that you have enough operating system requirements because you are using Windows Vista .  Yes you'e right  Vista is compatible with NOD32 Anti Virus  but you might probably ovelooked that the space RAM memory of your computer might not be enough to run such latest version of AntiVirus.  To be sure before downloading any program, make sure to check the space RAM memory availability.

Hope this might help you.

Thanks.

This could be caused by one of the background applications messing up the installation process and causing the program to not properly recognize the operating system. This could also be caused by a virus already installed on your system. You're still in the process of installing a security software, therefore it is likely that while your computer didn't have any security software installed, it got infected and the virus is preventing the application from being installed. Try disabling all your startup programs and non-Microsoft services and try installing the program again. If it goes through, then it's caused by one of your startup application or one of the background services. Immediately run a scan in your system. If it still doesn't go through, try downloading the installer again or use a different version if that is possible. If these fail, you may have a corrupted operating system and a reinstall may be in order. You screenshot also doesn't look like that of Windows Vista but of Windows XP.
