No Pop Up At Power Button

A common issue as reported by a number of android users especially of some users of HTC that no pop up appears when the power button is held down so we cannot choose whether to go for a hot boot or a simple shut down. How can we work around this issue?

No Pop Up At Power Button

When we press the power button in our android phone the following pop up is expected to come up:

In a lot of cases it has been reported that even after holding down the power button nothing appears. In this case generally force restarts do not work neither does force restart work, the best way to work around this is to try a restore to last restore point which can be done by the following steps:

a) From settings we are to navigate to backup and restore. From backup options select the backup and restore to save your current preferences.

b) From the same menu select reset phone and after completion perform a forced restart.

c) Restore your backup and the phone should be back to normal.
