Often we forget our pattern locks in emergency situations where we need to make an emergency call or get to the mail and do not have enough time to get to a computer or try something else. How to reset phone without android ADT in the quickest possible way?

How To Resetting Phone From Terminal

All android phones have an inbuilt reset terminal much like BIOS in our pc. Some phones have unique ways to open the terminal, we would be discussing a generalized approach which is expected to work for most android phones. The steps are as follows:

a) Shut down you phone and power up again while holding down the volume up key.

b) Leave all keys while the logo of your phone manufacturer appears. After terminal appears we can scroll using volume up and down and select with home key.

c) Select reset phone option, you will be prompted to confirm your decision. If you confirm all your data will be wiped and you will be taken to a screen where you can reset your pattern lock.

After this you can use your phone as always.
