Hi,

I have the Nero WaveEditor installed. Then I downloaded nxMyAC3.dll which was supposed to help me see channels. Then I realized that am not seeing any channels so I searched online and saw an option to go to Edit tab and select Convert sample format. Here is where I get an error as shown below. Please help me reach a solution.

Error message:

An error occurred while converting the sample format

How many channels are you trying to edit? You need to do it individually. And then convert to mono wave files. Then Nero will re-convert it to AC3 file. If you continue receiving the error, uninstall Wave Editor and reinstall it back. For instructions on how to edit audio file using Wave Editor, follow the steps on the link below:

Since I think you want to use AC3 to filter the channels in the audio you are working on, might as well use AC3Filter to help you do the job. The program displays a spectrum analyzer showing the active channels in your audio. I am using it so might as well try it your self. Visit AC3Filter Audio Decoder and Processor. See image.

Remove the DLL file you added to your program and then install AC3Filter from the link above. Try converting the audio again then see what happens. If an error occurred again you are probably converting the audio with an incorrect audio configuration. I also experience this before when converting some audio files to another bit rate using Cool Edit Pro 2.

Check the configuration you set for the audio and then try again. If it doesn’t work, adjust the setting and then try again. Do it until you find the correct setting. If it is also your first time to use Nero WaveEditor, try practicing on some audio files to get familiar with the whole operation.

It would also help if you’ll read the information in the Help section because it usually contains some tips.
