Hi.
With the use of  COBOL program and SPF/PC I was able to render the output files in the form of .txt ,when I open these files with Notepad ++ or PS Pad, the hexadecimal ‘20’ reduces to ‘9’ but if I use another application like SPF/PC the hexadecimal remains the same.
What could be wrong? I just need to finish this. I would be glad if anyone can help so that in the future if these problems may exists, I can fix things out.

That sounds a bit unusual, but it could happening for some reason. I will suggest that you stick to the programs that are not altering the code when you copy it SPF/PC and avoid using the notepad++ so as to get on with finishing your code faster.
But you can also try rectifying the problem in the notepad++ that may be causing the problem, which I am guessing to be the auto correction feature for the source code is turned on hence altering the code to suit the standards of the notepad when copied, and therefore you should disable that feature.
