Hello guys,

I have a problem with my notebook. It is acting very slow these days. Today, when I try to restart it, it is almost 30 minutes and it is not yet done with restarting. So I just push the off button on my CPU to close it. Sometimes, it was working just fine and sometimes it is really slow. I don't know what else to do with it. Can someone please give me some help?

There are a lot of factors to consider so we could know the cause of slow performance of your notebook. If the slowness that you are referring to is whenever browsing any webpages then you may consider this options,

First of all, in Internet Explorer you may go to internet options, delete files that are offline, then clear the history save to zero  for the days and  click ok , restart again your Internet Explorer.

Secondly, if you are using Mozilla Firefox, then press ctrl, shift and delete button then delete the private data. Lastly, you may want to close some of the programs that you are no longer using, by opening start menu, run the command msconfig.exe and then in the system configuration tab click startup tab then make sure to uncheck the programs that you are not using.

There are several things you can do to increase the “speed” of your notebook. First of all clean up the disk. Then uninstall the unneeded programs, run Disk Cleanup, and defragment the drive respectively. You should stop auto-starting programs by clicking Start > Run and type “msconfig” at the prompt. Most importantly you should run a full anti-virus and anti-spyware scan. Hopefully you would be able to speed up your note book following these instructions.
