I think you will be capable to connect your MAC with USB cables. Just follow the steps.

1. Make sure about the secure connection with USB ports.

2. Unplug all the devices from USB port and then plug your MAC.

3. Carefully check the system profiler

4. Lacking of power in USB port. Important: see it carefully.

5. If need any software installation, please be sure about that.

Happy using.

Hi Richard Green!

You can unplug the affected device from the USB port and then plug it back in for make sure that the connection is secure.

Unplug all USB accessories from the computer. Then start plugging in USB devices one at a time to make sure they all working well.

You can open System Profiler from the Utilities folder, which is inside the applications folder. From the content column select USB;

  • If the device show up in system profiler, Then the issue is usually due to software, then try to updating the drivers, creating a new user, or reinstalling the system software.
  • And if the device doesn't show up in System Profiler , then the issue is more likely to be hardware_either the device or the USB port isn't working properly.
