The music player on my Apple mobile phone seems to be having a problem because it only plays a couple of songs, which then I would have to manually access to continue playing the following tracks in my playlist. I thought at first that the software I was using was the one that had problems but when I used another application, it seemed to have the same problem. What can I do to resolve this?

I think you need to update your ITunes and apple mobile software. I already encountered that kind of problem and all I did is updated the software/application that I am using and it all went right. You should also know that apply has released a troubleshooting guide which is very helpful to their users if they have encountered such problems.
