Moving windows 89 folder to some other location?

Hi Experts,

I am having windows xp on my desktop.I recently moved windows 89 folder to some other place in C;/ drive.After that my windows os is giving errors frequently.Advice me on how to resolve this critical issue.Thanks.

HI,

I do not know why you moved that windows 89 folder.  But you easily fix the problem by moving that folder to its original position. Or try following methods. 

1. Update your windows online

2. Repair your os using original windows xp cd.

You can fix your problems using any of these methods.

Hello Orlanndoaddison;

Although you have nothing to worry at, but you must be careful in moving Window files or folders used by OS from their default location to some other location. You can use any of these solutions to fix the problem;

Solution 1: If you are able to get to the desktop, then simply cut and paste the desired folder to its original location in win xp folder. This will fix the issue after a reboot.

Solution 2: You can permanently resolve the issue by using startup repair utiltiy in win xp boot disc. This will automatically replace all the required files to the desired places for optimal settings.
