If you received this error when connecting your modem to the internet, try restarting your computer and try again. It is probably just a glitch. If this doesn’t work, you probably want to reinstall your modem. Unplug your modem from the computer if it is still connected on the USB port then click Start, Control Panel and then “Add or Remove Programs”.

Find and select your modem software then click Remove or Uninstall. Restart the computer. Plug your modem on the computer then you should see a prompt requesting you to install the modem. Install the software then try if this works. You should be able to use the modem after this. If the problem appears on your web browser and the modem is long been connected, try restarting the web browser.

If it doesn’t work, reinstalling would also help but in most cases, upgrading to the latest version greatly helps. If the problem is with Microsoft Internet Explorer, since it can’t be uninstalled, just use other web browsers.
