Hello everyone! Please help me out with my problem.
When I try to apply an attach pack (FP) or a cumulative client Hotfix (CCH) to Lotus Notes on USB, I get the following error:
Error
The Lotus Notes registry key does not specify the correct location of Lotus Notes.
Please check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareLotusNotesPath8.0
I think that the installer is missing some registry keys, and it does not identify where to install the Hotfix. This assumption may be logical, because Nomad does not generate any entry in the registry. The only technique I know to install attachments on Lotus Notes on USB is to temporarily make the necessary registry keys. Unfortunately, the values that are provided in the error are wrong, so the registry keys have to be generated using the following values:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARELotusNotes
DataPath=<Path to Lotus Notes Data Directory>
Path=<Path to Lotus Notes Program Directory>
Are there any other solutions to this problem?
I hope that the experts will be able to help me with this one.
Thanks a lot!
Missing registry keys in Lotus Notes
Dear Xavier
According to the error message u received "the lotus notes registry key does not specify the correct location of lotus notes", it seems that some directory files of the application may be deleted by u accidentally. Please consider doing the following steps in order to resolve this issue: remove the application from Control Panel -> add or remove programs. Download the latest version of the program or run the currently existing setup file of the application. Follow the setup wizard instructions during the setup process and lastly check for resent updates of the program.
Hope this may help you.
Best of luck

Missing registry keys in Lotus Notes
I've reviewed your problem and I am sure it is connected with this: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareLotusNotes". You need to adjust these settings: DataPath, Description, MultiUser, Name and Path, and they are located directly beneath the Notes key. The latest version of Notes installation determines these values, but have in mind that every update or reinstallation rewrites these values.
Notes usually contain one subkey with the major version number of the installed Notes client (7.0.1). Besides this one, in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Lotus/Notes you can find another subkey, the Installer. This one has a lot of settings, and some of them are: DATADIR, ISMUI, NOTESDATAPATH, NOTESPATH and PROGDIR. The Installer of Notes 6 and later releases uses the Registry for storing information.
Hope this will help you, have a nice day.
