MDT 2012 Boot Image creation error in SCCM 2012! I tried making an MDT-based boot image and I was faced with this message saying it couldn’t find a part of the path. I tried looking at C: and there really isn’t. Where do we find Tools folder so that we could have it on C:?

Create Boot Image using MDT.

Hello Noel,

It appears like there’s an MDT 2012 bug in the form of a hard-coded link to reference the presence of the Windows Automated Installation Kit. All of the necessary files are located in the following folder location: “C:Program FilesWindows AIKToolsPEToolsx86WinPE_FPs” .

To resolve it, you will need to simply copy the ..Tools.. folder and all the subfolders to C: .
