Maple Story randomly crashes on Windows 8

Hello,

 

Random crashes – Unknown Software Exception Error Maple Story I recently installed Maplestory on my new Windows 8 computer after having not played since early this year. I keep getting a crash to desktop around 5-15 minutes into playing. I have no idea what’s causing it but it gives an error message which says.

 

Here is a screen shot of the error. Help me. Thanks.

Maple Story randomly crashes on Windows 8

Sometimes this game executable can do this sort of random crashing because they are not run with sufficient administrator privileges. So first try to play it, by right-click and 'Run as Administrator' option. If you can play it without interruption, then you can set 'Run as Administrator' for this game by 'right-click – > properties – > compatibility' and check box 'Run as Administrator' and click ok, and you are free to enjoy the game.

Next, if previous step doesn't work, thing to address here is to find the problem that is causing the problem and then you can go a look for solution.

To find the problem, follow the steps from How to perform a clean boot and perform a clean boot, and then scroll down on the page to get the steps to find the problem.

This sort of diagnostics is to be run to check for the sake of finding the real problem before doing the needful
