Lotus Error Message for Local Mail File Authorization

I got a Lotus error message that says, ‘You are not authorized to the database for user's local mail file'.

The message came from my local mail files. It was received four times. I already tried to delete the local replica and even created it twice for backup. The process was long and tedious. But still it doesn’t work.

I use Lotus client 6.5.5 with StdR7Mail Version 6.5.3. Template.

What can I do to prevent the error?

You have mentioned you have received a lotus error message that said you are not authorized to the database for user's local mail file. Your client mail server is filled up already that ultimately you have got such error message. You may check your mail server updates if your lotus 6.5.5 has options.

You can delete several read mail to re-load client mail. You can extent your lotus mail client version. You have to demand to take permission to alive your mail client server. You can surf your mail into mail client server to find it's programs to activate.

Hello Anthony,

That error that you're getting occurs due to lack of access privileges to the user, and therefore to resolve it you will need to have user access rights that are needed for fetching the data that is needed.

Also, if the user has the ability to get rid of the local security for the file, then the user can be able to open the NSF database as well as get hands on important data.

Another thing you should try in order to resolve the issue is deleting the local replica then after that you will update the server mail file using R6 mail template from an r6 notes client install, and after that you will replicate this back to the user’s machine.

Regards,

Carl
