Lexmark 4580 did not work with OS X Lion 10.7

I am using a Wi-Fi Printer. I have used it with my Windows computer using its wireless feature, and it did print.

My Operating System is OS X Lion 10.7,and my printer is Lexmark 4580.

I cannot print wireless using my Mac.

I checked for the latest updates for Lexmark for Lion and tried downloading it, but it still failed.

I was trying to search the web for online support about this problem, but I could not get specific answers.

Please help me.

Lexmark 4580 did not work with OS X Lion 10.7

The printer may not be working when you are using the OSX Lion operating system because the only the USB print queue ha added, and therefore you will be required to add a network print queue under Print & Fax for the printer to be able to work.

You will need to follow the steps below to add a network print queue:

1. First, you will need to navigate to: System Preferences and the go to Print & Scan
2. You will need to click + .
3. And then locate the Default tab, and from there you will need to select the printer from the list of discovered printers.
4. And then a print queue will be created in Print & Scan.

Note that you will need to do the above while the USB cable is unplugged.
