HI. The Windows error code 0x80070057 occurs due to many reasons. It occurs when a new profile is being created on MS Outlook when files are restoring during its installation. It is resolved by tweaking the registry, which can be done by DWORD value from the Edit menu. It can also be handled by renaming the distribution of software while updating or installing the Windows.
Receiving error code “0x80070057”, according to Microsoft, indicates a problem with the system partition which is used for BitLocker and system restore. The error is triggered because the system partition is damaged. You may also receive this error when copying files and that’s probably why you receive it because you are backing up some files. The best remedy is to create a new system partition.
In Windows XP, when you install the operating system, setup will create only one partition for the system drive where Microsoft Windows will be installed while in Windows 7, setup will require you to create two partitions: one for the system drive where Windows 7 will be installed and one for the reserved system partition which is used basically to restore the operating system and for BitLocker.
