Images of a desktop computer are basically called the photos which are stored in a computer. We can scroll through the images in a computer using various software such as picasa. These software allow us to edit the images in the computer and keep the original one also. Images can used in a computer as a background image used as the desktop image. Whenever we switch on our computer this image appears. Some images are used in the background also. Hope this helps.
The images or photos you are referring to are the pre-installed images in the “Documents” folder. It is shipped or included in the operating system when you install it. These images and photos are free to use any way you want it. There are also images that are used for the themes as background wallpaper.

These are the extension names used by the images. When you type them in the search field, any or all images with that extension name will appear automatically on your screen.
