Laptop power toggle program that works

Hi! I need your help on this. Could you give me some directions regarding my laptops’ battery life and power? Or could you give or name a genius program to make battery life and power management easier and more convenient for me? My laptop is running Windows 7 with 32-bit memory. I wish to have a program that could switch my laptop to have “automatic” battery power instantly once it is plugged in to an external power source.  It’s more convenient for me to have my laptop unplugged all day. If possible I want to eliminate the plugging and unplugging to and from an external power source. Also, I’m wondering if you could also suggest a program aside from Power Saver, which could sense a power shortage and could automatically switch back to battery power. Thanks.

Hello and good day!

The laptop's battery is the most important component to maintain mobility of the device without it your just carrying with you a semi-mobile desktop. There are a lot of technical specifications concerning the battery and how to care for it, you can read about here:

  1. Download Link
  2. Download Link1
  3. Download Link2

As for automatic "switching" the laptop does this automatically for you, once you plug in the AC adaptor a chip from your laptop detects the power flowing into your jack and reroutes that to start charging your laptop. But you can download some great battery monitoring tools that can help you switch to appropriate profiles that saves on battery power.

You can try Battery Bar or Battery Care to help you monitor the health of your battery and the paid versions help you manage profiles when you switch to battery power. Unfortunately you cannot avoid not charging your battery and from time to time you have to stop and charge your battery from the nearest AC outlet. What you can do is merely extend the life of your battery which minimizes trips to the AC outlet.

Have a good day!
