Is it possible to create a keyboard shortcut to switch workspaces in ubuntu? I already know how to switch workspaces, but I would like to be able to open the window with all my workspaces from my keyboard. Any ideas?

Hello Miley,

No need to create keyboard shortcuts for you to switch work spaces because Ubuntu has their own formatted shortcuts for your easy routinely use. Here are some or should I say the most common keyboard shortcuts for window shortcut option for workspaces.

Ctrl + Alt + Left/Right Pointer – a swift exchange between Workspaces on your display. Ctrl + Alt + Tab – change between currently-opened windows in the existing Workspaces.

Pressing “Tab” recurrently will be a successive alternate list of available windows on the display. Release “Ctrl+Alt” key to switch window. Alt + Tab – change between currently-opened window. Just press “Alt + Tab” then release “Tab.”

Pressing “Tab” button recurrently will be successive opening through the list of manageable windows; to select a window, release the “Alt” key. Alt+Space – this will enable window to be either “Always on Top,” “Minimize” and “Maximize.”

I hope I am in the right track of understanding your concern and gave you a hand to fix the problem. I hope this information is of good help.

Good Luck!

Regards,

Mali
