I want to import an Excel file with client information into an MS Access database, but some data were not entered properly as some are in caps or it does start with a capital letter. Is it possible to format cells automatically in such a way that “LONDON”, for example, becomes “London”?

You can use Mask Wizard in MS Access for a lot of formatting features that you want. I suggest you to download the Mask Wizard and follow the instructions:

Choose a design view in the view menu.

In the data type column from the drop down menu, click TEXT.

Choose the general tab at the bottom half of the screen.

Click the input mask field at the far right.

Save the sheet.
