Hello, 

What should i disable for my Samsung galaxy 550 (android) does not connect over the internet to make updates and other things that drain my credit?

As your Samsung galaxy 550 android mobile is not being able to connect to the internet to make updates. It is really easy to connect your android to internet, all you have to do is enter some settings required to connect to the internet. First of all,if you have tried already to connect to the internet using some settings then I would like to recommend you to remove those and restore to the default setting and then enter the wap settings correctly and then try connecting it.

I am sure this time you can connect to the internet but remember as you are trying to update do not update version mismatch firmware as it may result in further problems.

What I understand from your question is that you do not want your galaxy tab to connect to internet without your knowledge and download updates and other stuff which basically drains your credit. For that, you just need to disable your WiFi when you are not using it. To disable the WiFi you need to go to the connection tab and there you will see the WiFi connection. You can disable the connection when you are not using it.

If it is via Edge or 3G, you need to disable the 3G / Edge network in the same manner. Once disabled, your tablet will not connect to internet and keep on downloading updates without your knowledge. I hope it solves the problem for you. Hit back if you need any thing else.

With this concern you need to disable your packet data, since packet data is the responsible in draining your credit most especially when it is in the enable mode. Since your phone is capable of the internet access you have to make sure that your pocket data must always of, For you to do this you have to make sure that your phone has this settings.

1. Go to Setting.

2. Tick connectivity, then mobile network.

3. Lastly make sure that your pocket data is not on/enable.

By this means you can control the usage for your data.

Hi,

First of all, go to Data Sync option in your settings menu and make sure to deselect the option of automatic synchronization and background data in your set. This should start saving your credit at first place when you do not want to use internet, but few other things should also be kept into consideration to gain maximum relief from the credit drainage issues.

Also make sure that you disable the background data option before you go abroad from where you live so basically when you start traveling out, then using the other service providers will link to their data application services. While you are abroad, you can then surf on internet and use your applications of your choice. While no extra applications will connect to internet. In this way you can use internet freely whenever required and no unnecessary credit drain problems will occur.
