You must check the version and then install  MySQL server 2005.  32-bit is not well-matched or uniform to your operating system and the processor because you’re using a 64-bit with your Windows Vista service pack 1.  Your installation is not an effort at all.

Just copy other installation to your operating system and then check for the latest version to suit your computer and then check if it is 64 bit before downloading it.  After completing the download, install MySQL server 2005.

Try to run, if it perfectly suits your computer.

Hello,

If you are using windows vista 64-bit then it is most likely that your hardware supports both 64-bit and 32-bit. However, you cannot you 32-bit server with 64-bit OS. You can either Install 32-bit OS or change the MYSQL server to 64-bit. If you are planning on keeping the 64-bit OS installed and still installing 32-bit server then still you will need to install a 32-bit OS creating a partition in your hard disk keeping both OS installed. Then you can switch to 64-bit to 32-bit each time you restart.
