Today I installed Mac operating system. I inserted a Mac operating system DVD and then started Installation. After some time missing files, error appears. Then I click at retry button but setup stops there ; then I skips some files. After some time I restart my computer and change the DVD but same error appears again. Please let me know its reason and solution. The disk “Capricornus” needs to be repaired.

The disk “Capricornus” needs to be repaired.

Go to the computer with the Mac OS X install DVD, open Remote install Mac OS X (located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder) and follow the onscreen instructions for restarting your computer using the DVD.

When the Mac OS X Installer opens, follow the onscreen instructions to install Mac OS X. During installation, the installer repairs the disk automatically.

You can follow the instructions given on the screen capture that you've submitted. You can also restart your mac and try installing it again. You can use the Disk Utility to check your mac volume. If there are needed repairs, the Disk Utility will also assist you and give you easy steps to follow like what you have on your screen shot. You will need you Mac CD Installer for the repairs.

If the problem is in the installer and you cannot repair it through Disk Utility, you can try the stand alone downloads from the internet. You may get the installation program from the Apple website.
