Hi dear,

I have these problems.

Please provide me guidance.

Indenting data within a cell and rotating text to any angle.

To indent data within a cell

  • Select the cell(s) and right click to display the pop-up box.

Before Rotation

 

  • From the list displayed, select Format Cell.

  

  • This will display the Format Cells dialog box. Select the Alignment tab.
  • Select Left (Indent) from the Text alignment/Horizontal list,

And then use the spinner controls to add the required indent.

Select OK

To rotate text to any angle

  • Select the cell(s).
  • Right click to display the pop-up box.
  • From the list displayed, select Format cells. This will display the Format Cells dialog box.
  • Select the Alignment tab.
  • From the Orientation Section either enters the exact amount of rotation required into the Degrees box (OR) Drag the
    Text dial to give the desired level of rotation.
  • Select ok

Indent data within a cell

In Microsoft excel you are able to indent and rotate text within a cell easily.

I will show you by using an example.

We will just think that you may have typed the following headings in an excel sheet.

 

Those heading are in the right side bottom in each cell.

However,you can change the indent of these headings as follows.

First select all the headings and right click. Then click format cell.

 

Now click on the alignment Tab and select any type from “Horizontal” dropdown list to change the position horizontally. (I selected the “Center”)

 

Then select any type from “Vertical” dropdown list to change the position vertically. (I selected “Center”)

 

 

Now you can see the indent of the headings has been change as followed.

 

 

Similarly you can change the orientation of text.

First select the heading and right click, format cell, alignment tab as previous.

Then click on the red box in orientation section and rotate it to any angle as you wish.

 

 

Now orientation will have been changed of the text as follows.
