What happened to my Archos Wi-Fi?

I do not know really exactly what happened with my Archos 605 WiFi. It suddenly stops.

I already tried resetting it but it got stuck on the opening screen with “Archos entertainment your way;” the HOD light also keeps on blinking red and the worst of it, it automatically turns off.

Is there any thing that I have to upgrade or change?

Your Archos 605 WiFi might have damage or battery loss. The primary problem found in this kind of issue is that device battery. This is a little disappointment with this device, the battery is not removable and you need to dismantle the device housing before you can change the battery.

Before making some moves to dismantle the housing of your device just to remove and change your device battery, try to recharge the device, just make sure that the battery is charging. Make sure that the charger is working and able to recharge your device. Full charge of this device may take up to 4.5hours during video playback and 17 hours when playing music.

If this is not the solution, you don’t have nay choice but to change your battery.

What happened to my Archos Wi-Fi?

Your Archos 605 WiFi may have had an operating system failure making it unable to load the data that's saved in it. It's also possible that your battery is not being charged completely which only allows the device to load the initial screen then turn off until such time that the battery is drained completely.

You can check the charger if it still can charge the device properly and if it can, then the battery may not be holding the charge anymore and needs to be replaced. You may also try taking it to a service center to have the software reset and have it written back.

If the problem is caused by its operating system, it should be able to fix it.
