What is the 0x5b3 error? Describe the cause of the error and explain various steps to fix the error and also attach a snapshot of the error.
I Have Installed A Printer Driver; And I Face A 0x5b3 Message
0x5b3 error can occur if the name of the printer connection is incorrect, or if the print spooler cannot contact the print server.
The steps to fix the 0x5b3 error is as follows:
- Go to the given file location: (C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository) and check if this folder exists; if you find the folder, then check that it is empty or not. If it is empty, then modify the security of the folder. Go to Properties and then to security and add the user with full controls, then copy the content of the folder from the other computer where the printer work, to this one where it doesn’t work.
- Use disk clean up tools on the Windows drive to get rid of the temp files. Delete all the set*.tmp in the system 32 folders.
