Hey Dorothy,
If you lost your Network icon, don't worry. Many people accidentally lost their icon off network connections.
Anyways we will fix it in next 4- 5 steps.
1. Click on Start > Control panel.
2. Click on Control panel and open Network connections.
3. You will see there an option of LAN or High Speed Internet,
4. Right Click on the LAN or High-Speed Internet Card, you just logged in.
5. Go to Properties and Check the Box "Show icon in notification area when connected".
Here we have solved the problem. Now whenever you will connect to internet you will see icon on Taskbar.
Thanks.
Hello Dorothy james,
Don’t worry. Your network icon just needs to be showed.
To fix this, please go to the control panel and then, Network connections. Go to the properties of the card you are using and confirm that, icon of your card is being showed. Your problem will be solved after completing this.
Have a nice day.
Paul Jolie.
That’s just a problem with the system tray icon of the network card. When you install a new network card or Ethernet card, by default, the system tray icon of the device is disabled. This means, it will not display the network icon on the system tray. One way of enabling the icon is from the Control Panel. Click “Start”, “Control Panel”, “Network and Internet Connections” then “Network Connections”.
Here, right-click your connection and select “Properties”. In Local Area Connection Properties window, in “General” tab, check “Show icon in notification area when connected” at the bottom then click “OK”.
This should fix the problem. From now on, the icon of the network card will be displayed on the system tray after booting the computer.
