Hi,

I have a Huawei Home Gateway 520 ADSL router and I can't connect to it on wireless.

I tried reinstalling my WiFi driver, and it runs perfectly on a LAN cable. I don't even have a WiFi password and the router is brand new.

Open, Network and Sharing Center and click on, Manage Wireless Networks.

In the Networks you can view, modify and reorder, left click on your Network to select and then, right click and on the drop down menu, select Remove Network.

Now restart your computer. When computer is up again, open your browser and in to the address bar type, http://192.168.1.1 and press Enter. Contact your ISP, to give you default Username and Password for settings.

After you get that, sign in using that Username and Password and change settings for your router.

Set your username and password and set network security.

When done save your settings, find your network and connect.

Is your computer a laptop?

Have you tried using this computer to connect to other wireless networks?

If your answer is yes and it works fine then we can say there is no problem with your wireless computer.

This might be an issue on your new router. As you can see your computer can not even connect to that unsecured connection.

Try changing the wireless channel and the wireless network name or SSID on your router and setup wireless security.

After setting these up, do not forget to turn off and on router.

Try reconnecting and if the same problem is encountered consider doing a firmware upgrade.
