Recently, I've got my new DSLR camera. And I am kind of new to this thing. When I used it on a family reunion, I noticed that I can only focus on a certain subject. I have a large number of family members and I want to know if its possible to adjust the settings so I can focus on the whole image?

There are many confusing things when you are using DSLR but after sometimes you will get used to it. So, if you are trying to focus on more than one subject then it`s not possible. It can only be possible in the case when both the subjects are exactly at the same distance. In order to get more than one subject in focus, focus on one or the space between them and select the aperture that gives enough depth so that all subjects get into the focus. Smaller aperture gives greater depth of the field. This is how the DSLR works.
