Hello,

I recently encountered a problem with my system when I was trying to perform an update, but it was showing windows update error code 800b0100. Iwas installing Service Pack 1 for my 64-bit operating system of Windows 7.

Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

There could be some reasons behind such an error. Try to perform the following methods on your computer; it should remove the error.

Method 1. Reset your Components of Windows Update.

1. Try to reset the Windows Update Components by running the proper Windows Update diagnostic tool.
2. Then,  just restart your computer and check for the updates again.

 

Method 2. Run the toolSystem Update Readiness.

1. Firstly, download and then run the System Update Readiness tool as per your Windows version.
2. After the installation is complete, then restart your computer and now search for updates.

How To Solve Windows Update Error Code 800b0100 Instantly.

If you receive “error 800b0100” when running Windows Update, try using the System Update Readiness Tool. Go to Fix Windows Update Errors with DISM. If you are using Windows 7, go to the Windows 7 section and download the correct version for your operating system. 32-bit and 64-bit are in different downloads so make sure you download the correct version for your computer.

Once downloaded, run the program then wait until it is finished and then restart the computer. After booting, try installing the update again and see if it works. “Error 0x800B0100” is equivalent to “TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE”. It means a signature doesn’t exist in the subject.
