I am having trouble installing the Windows Updates. I use Windows 10. I am trying to install the automatic updates on my system, I keep getting the windows error code 80246005. How do I move forward with the updates?

How To Fix Windows Error Code 80246005

The error code you are getting while installing updates indicates that your system is either not able to store any more updates in the Catroot2 folder, or that Cryptographic Services are not working properly. If you are not a power user, I suggest you ask someone else or a technician to deal with this.

To resolve this issue all you need to do is open a command prompt and type attrib -h -s -r c:\windows\system32\catroot2 and press Enter. Then, type attrib -h -s -r c:\windows\system32\catroot2\*.* and press Enter. Restart your computer. Now try to install the updates and everything should work just fine.
