I use an HP computer. Mentioning this is important because I am having trouble with something that is only present on HP computers. Sometimes, when I open the HP Support Assistant, it gives hpsf.exe error and hpsf update. How to remove this?

A lot of users have complained about this. Every manufacturer ships their products preinstalled with certain programs that belong specifically to them. These programs are often referred to as bloatware.

To remove this error, the official HP solution is to uninstall the current HP Support Assistant program and reinstall the latest version of the same. Now the key here is that they suggest you reinstall the program. Let me tell you that this is not at all necessary. If you do not want this bloatware, you can go ahead and not install the new version at all after uninstalling the current version from your system. This will not affect the performance of your machine at all.
