I bought a new laptop and a genuine Windows product. When I am applying the Windows product, the process ran for a few minutes, and then displayed a 0xc004c060 error. Is there any way to fix it?

If you are getting the 0xc004c060 error, it might happen the retailer from whom you purchased the key has given you a duplicate product. You should go with your laptop to the vendor and show him the problem. Take a refund for sure!

On the other hand, if you have purchased the key from a Microsoft store, contact Microsoft support.

I am suggesting a few ways. Try these out, and if your problem persists, do as I said above.

Method 1

a. Press Windows + R on your keyboard.
b. Type ms-settings:activation and press enter.

c. Click on Troubleshoot.
d. Apply the suggested fix.
e. Restart your device.
f. Activate Windows.

Method 2

a. Type command prompt in the Windows search box, and open as Administrator.
b. Type slmgr /ipk **. Replace ** with your key – Press Enter.
c. Type slmgr /ato and press enter.
d. Restart your device after the process completes.
e. Your Windows 10 should be active now.
