Hi guys,

How to send msg over lan Linux Windows? Is it possible to send a message over local area network in different operating system such as Linux and Windows operating system? What is the method or command use to send message even if you are not internet connected and just relying on networking? I have to do this because we have two buildings in the company.

You can use a LAN messaging software for this very purpose. It goes by the name "LAN Messenger". It allows you to effectively send messages across a local area network. 

Since it is available for windows and Linux, you can use this to send messages across different OS platforms.

Other features in this software includes file transfer, message history, notification alarms, message encryption and multi language user interface.
